Cultural and Great Migration Experience

This is a trip to Tanzania where you can enjoy culture and migration. You will start with a guided walk and driving through Arusha National Park to see animals. The trip will then lead you to Tarangire National Park where you will see many elephants. You will visit Mto wa mbu where you can tour a village and ride bicycles. Also, you will visit the Hadzabe Bushmen at Lake Eyasi and stay at Lake Eyasi Lodge before going to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park to see the Great Migration Safari. You don’t want to miss going to the Olduvai Gorge Museum for the Archaeological Site tour. This trip is peaceful and a chance to take it slow while enjoying the visit.

Every year, many people come to see the great wildebeest migration, which is a beautiful natural event. This travel plan includes activities like walking safaris and watching wildlife to give nature lovers a wonderful and unforgettable experience. To make your safari even better, you can take a flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar or your international flight. You will also get to learn about the traditions and cultures of the area, which are still alive today.

Day By Day Itenerary
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our representative will meet you and take you to the African Tulip Hotel in Arusha. You will stay there overnight and breakfast is included.
Day 2: Arusha National Park

After breakfast drive the short distance to Arusha National Park where you head out on an easy walking safari with an armed park ranger to the bushland and lower slopes of Mount Meru over to waterfalls. Enjoy the landscape and stunning views with different perspective wildlife viewing from the ground level. There are also great chances of finding black and white Colobus monkey and, baboon, giraffe, buffalo etc. Leave the park late afternoon and return to Arusha. Accommodation at African Tulip Hotel, Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 3-4: Tarangire National Park

Rise and shine for an early departure to Tarangire National Park after breakfast with picnic lunch for the full day game drive. This is an Elephant paradise and home to giant baobab trees. The park has a diverse landscape with nine vegetation zones and spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to permanent water source of Tarangire River. Enjoy watching elephants wallowing in the mud in the Tarangire River and silale swamp. Tarangire River provides water all the year round, making this park a critical refuge during the dry season for Elephants and migratory ungulates, resulting in sheer densities of wildlife. Apart from large herds of elephants expect to see giraffe, Buffalo, wildebeest, different varieties of antelopes, Lions, Leopards, Cheetah and different colorful bird species.

Day 5: Rift Valley Activities – Lake Eyasi
Morning wake – up call with bird chorus. After a leisurely breakfast you will start driving to Mto wa Mbu town near the great rift valley for cultural tour, walking safari and bicycle riding through the agriculture areas to the waterfalls down the rift valley escarpment. After the activities in the mid – afternoon you will start driving to Lake Eyasi and arrive in the evening and get preparation and ready for the next day activities. Accommodation at Lake Eyasi safari Lodge, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi hunting activity with bushmen – Ngorongoro crater
Are you ready? Leave early in the morning for visiting the Hadzabe Bushmen tribe and if interested accompany them in the bush for hunting. After hunting activities you will visit another tribe the Datoga (Blacksmith) then hot lunch at the Lake Eyasi safari lodge then in the afternoon you will start to be on your way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Accommodation at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 7: Crater – Olduvai – Central Serengeti
Time for a new perspective. You will leave early in the morning after breakfast with your picnic lunch ready for a half day crater tour. The crater covers an area of 304 sq kilometers which is the world’s largest unbroken and unflooded caldera. There is a large population of ungulates in the crater, including the few black rhino seen in their natural habitat. The crater is home to big population of lions and hyenas and few leopards mostly found on the rim. After a picnic lunch you start ascending the crater and enjoy your en route game drive to the Serengeti endless plains via Olduvai Gorge (optional) Accommodation at Embalakai Tented Camp, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 8 & 9: Central – Northern Serengeti
A good morning today starts with a morning game drive in the central Serengeti (Seronera) for the big cats safaris then in the afternoon drive to the northern Serengeti for the great migration. The northern Serengeti circuit safari will deliver you to the moving masses of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra. Spend 3 days with unlimited game drives of both central and northern Serengeti if timing and lucky are on your side you may see a wildebeest river crossing of the Mara River. Witnessing the great migration can be a life-changing experience where millions of wildebeests move from one place to another in search of green pastures. Accommodation at Tanzania Bush Camp Northern Serengeti, Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 10: Serengeti – Arusha
Enjoy one more last look for the wildlife of the Serengeti as you drive to the northern Serengeti Airstrip to connect with your international flight. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and he will drive you to Arusha Hotel for farewell hot lunch then you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro international Airport depending on your flight timings. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch.
