On this incredible safari, you will spend 2 days at Southern Serengeti (Ndutu Area) which hosts vast plains with 2 million wildebeest and 1 million zebra including big cats. Ndutu is a seasonal area for the Great Migration from December to April where you can spot the big number of new calves followed by predators. After spending 2 days in Southern Serengeti you will also end the trip by visiting the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, one of the natural wonders of the world, and a paradise for many species of wildlife. The 4-day Serengeti signature itinerary is perfect for those who have a little short time and are eager to see more. ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival after the immigration formalities you shall be welcomed and assisted by your Tanzania Voyages guide and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your time of arrival you may do any optional activities available. Relax in your accommodation while getting ready to start your safari on the next day. Day 2: Arusha – Southern Serengeti
After breakfast, your guide will be there to meet you and ready to start a life-time's adventure. Enjoy your drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Southern Serengeti. You will stop on the crater rim for picnic and drive across the Masai Communities. You will start the game drive once you reach the vast and endless plains of Southern Serengeti dotted with huge herds of wildebeest and Zebra. The wildebeest calving season normally begin between Mid-January and late February each year, this attracts big number of predators and making it the site of wild drama. Day 3: Southern Serengeti
Enjoy a full day game drive in the Southern Serengeti National Park with your private guide. The endless plains of Southern Serengeti supports the world's greatest wildlife spectacle – 2 million wildebeest and 1 million zebra migrating in a clockwise direction around Serengeti up to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, and then back down to the Southern Serengeti for calving. Each year they cover over 2000 km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of large predators. Depending on the time and weather your professional guide will be happy to share with you this unique show of nature. Full board accommodation at Tanzania Bush Camp.
Day 4: Southern Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. You will then start your journey to the one of the natural wonders of the world - Ngorongoro Crater which is the largest intact caldera in the world and a Unesco World Heritage Site with unique ecosystem that supports more than 25000 resident animals. The caldera consists of Marshy areas, Savannah grassland and acacia forest which inhabit many animals including black rhino, elephant, large herds of wildebeest and zebra, buffalo, hippo, hyena, lion and leopard as well. After picnic, later on you will ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha for overnight or drive to Kilimanjaro international Airport for your home flight.
