ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival after finalizing immigration formalities you shall be welcomed and assisted by your Tanzania Voyages guide/representative and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your time of arrival you may do any optional activities available. Enjoy your dinner and while preparing yourself for the adventure of a life-time. Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast your guide will meet you and ready to depart to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch at Transit Picnic Site on the rim of the crater. Enjoy the long day journey (7-8 hr driving) Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unparalleled for its natural beauty and rich wildlife sightings. You will have an afternoon game drive before reaching the camp. Full board accommodation at Thorn Tree Camp
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today you will have a full day game drive in the world's-renowned national park, Serengeti. This park is truly spectacular and offers excellent sightings of big 5 and the Great Wildebeest migration depending on the time of travel. The park's natural vegetations have remained widely untouched for millions of years attracting abundant many species of herbivores and predators. Full board accommodation at Thorn Tree Camp.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro crater (3 hr drive) with picnic lunch. This Caldera was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed downward on its own formed million years ago, covering an area of 304 square kilometers. The crater floor is made of Savanna grassland, Acacia forest and swamps which boasts some of the densest large mammal populations including Big 5 animals in the whole continent. Late afternoon after game drive you will ascend the crater and head to the lodge. Full board accommodation at Marera Valley Lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro – Tarangire – Arusha
After breakfast, you will start heading to Tarangire National Park for the half-day game drive with your picnic lunch (2 hr drive). Tarangire National Park is home to large herds of elephant, the giant and ancient Baobab trees dot the entire park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through the park, it draws huge herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, gazelles, as well as large predators. Late afternoon you will start driving back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport for your international flight depending on your schedule.
