This itinerary is specifically crafted for travelers looking to immerse themselves in vibrant cultural experiences and the rich diversity of the Flora and Fauna of Tanzania. It offers a combination of a Maasai Cultural tour, medicinal nature walks with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and a wildlife game drive at Serengeti National Park. This 6-day cultural and Serengeti is planned for those with an interest in exploration and who want to experience the African mammal’s ecology and a few different cultures and traditions of Tanzania. This tour allows you to spend most of your time in the Serengeti, following the unique and largest remaining Annual wildebeest migration in the world, where over 2 million Wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of other ungulates cover 2500 kilometers every year. ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival after finalizing the immigration formalities you shall be welcomed and assisted by your Tanzania Voyages representative/guide and transfer you to your accommodation. Depending your time of arrival you may do any optional activities available. Full board accommodation at Africa Amini Lodge
Day 2: Maasai Cultural Activities
Today you will spend the all day experiencing this special place. Experience a guided nature walk with the Maasai through the bush and learn about the various herbal natural remedies, learn how to throw spear and sunset singing and dancing ceremony with the superb views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. You will be able to learn more about the Maasai tradition through stories around the camp fire. Full board accommodation at Africa Amini Alama Lodge.
Day 3: Fly to North Serengeti National Park
After a leisurely breakfast, our Airport transfer driver will pick you up and drive you to Arusha Airport for your domestic flight to Serengeti National Park (1 hr flight). You will meet your private guide and a vehicle once you land at Kogatende Airstrip. You will immediately begin the game drive and follow the wildebeest migration with an assistance of your professional guide. Late afternoon drive to the camp for the check in and sunset drinks around the campfire. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti
Enjoy your breakfast at the camp, hop on a full day game exploration in the Serengeti National Park especially for the great wildebeest migration. Serengeti is well-known for its annual wildebeest migration and other resident wildlife including big 5 animals. The North Serengeti is made of woodlands, savannah grassland and riverine forest, all this within the rolling plain and hills landscape. If you are lucky enough you may witness the river crossing of wildebeests and zebras followed by a several attacks from the Giant Nile crocodiles and lions on await. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 5: Northern Serengeti
Wake up early before sunrise for the early morning game drive with the picnic breakfast to catch the rare sightings of the elusive cats. Most animals get to be active very early in the morning and late evening when the weather is cool. These times are great to observe wildlife when they are more likely to engage in behaviors and social interactions. You will have a picnic breakfast arranged with your guide with stunning view of Mara River. Drive back to the camp for the hot lunch and short siesta followed by an evening game drive with the sunset drinks. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp
Day 6: Fly Serengeti – Arusha Airport
Have a leisurely breakfast at the camp, you will have your last morning game drive viewing at Serengeti National Park. Drive to Kogatende Airstrip ready to catch your domestic short flight to Arusha. You will be met again with our airport transfer driver. Enjoy your lunch in Arusha before driving to Kilimanjaro International Aiport for your departure.
