This 6-Day Serengeti Sky luxury Safari is specifically designed for travelers with more interest in Serengeti National Park and tracking the Annual Wildebeest Migration. It has only selected Serengeti as the special destination with more days of exploration and following the massive herds of the great migration assisted with your guide and comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser at your own pace. Witness the beautiful geographical features and landscapes of Tanzania from the sky before landing on the magical Serengeti vast plains dotted with hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and other ungulates, including the rare Big 5 animals. You will be able to spend 3 nights in the North Serengeti and Central Serengeti 1 night to increase the chances of witnessing the natural behaviors of African wildlife. After your successful exploration of Serengeti, you will fly out to Arusha or Zanzibar depending on your plan and preference. This itinerary can be customized accordingly depending on the location of the Great Wildebeest Migration plus the time you have chosen to travel to give you the best memorable experience.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival after finalizing immigration formalities you shall be welcomed and assisted by the Tanzania Voyages representative and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your time of arrival you may do any optional activities available. Full board. accommodation at Grand Melia Hotel
Day 2: Fly to Northern Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast, our airport transfer vehicle will be there to pick you up and drive to Arusha Airport for your short bush flight to Serengeti National Park (1hr flight). On arrival you will meet your private guide and start your journey of exploration in Serengeti National park. Serengeti is well-known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Searching for green pastures and water, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plain. Many cross the marshy western corridor of Grumeti River and then heading up to north part of Serengeti including the famous-Mara River. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 3: Northern Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast, you will start your day with unforgettable game drive from rolling hills to savannah grasslands of Serengeti. You will take your picnic lunch from the camp and proceed for an amazing day game drive through the park. Your knowledgeable guide will do his best possible to ensure you find the wildebeest migration and Big 5 animals. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 4: Northern Serengeti National Park
Wake up early for the sunrise game drive. You will take a picnic breakfast from your camp and enjoy the breakfast setting with stunning view of the Mara River. With a chance to witness the wildebeest crossing the Mara River, and catch the rare sightings of early morning before the sun comes out. These hours are recommended for observing wildlife when they are more likely to engage in behaviors like hunting or social interactions. You will drive back at the camp for the hot lunch. Enjoy your afternoon relaxing at the camp before going out for an evening game drive. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp
Day 5: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti
Enjoy your leisurely breakfast at the camp. After witnessing the several river crossing and the massive herds across the savannah, today you will have a long day journey to Central Serengeti to complete adventure of a lifetime. Enhance your chance of spotting more sightings and breathtaking landscapes within the park from Bologonja downward the Lobo hills up to Seronera area. The Seronera Valley is an excellent for wildlife spotting year-round with spectacular populations of big cats mostly seen around green mashy areas and frequently basking on the outcrop rocky known as the 'Kopjes'. Day 6: Departure Central Serengeti – Arusha/Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, take a picnic lunch with you and have a half-day game drive at the Central part of the Serengeti National Park for your last game drive. After picnic lunch you will drive to Seronera Airstrip to catch your domestic flight to Arusha Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our Airport transfer driver and take you to your hotel/Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your plan.
