ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival after finalizing the immigration formalities you shall be welcomed and assisted by your Tanzania Voyages representative /guide and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may do any optional activities available. Relax and enjoy your dinner while getting ready to start your safari on the next day. Overnight at Arusha Coffee Lodge
Day 2: Arusha Airport – Northern Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your bush flight to Kogatende, Northern Serengeti. Your Tanzania Voyages safari guide will be there ready to pick you up at Kogatende airstrip. Enjoy this first special day in Serengeti with your private vehicle and guide at the Mara River viewing the great migration river crossing. River crossing happens from late July to October depending on the weather. At this time the migratory herds tend to cross the Mara River back and forth towards the rain searching for green pastures. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 3: Northern Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, leave the camp for the full day game drive with your picnic lunch. Start heading downward the Mara River for another wildebeest river crossing, which also the large predators tend to follow or wait on the other side of the river. The North Serengeti does not only offer great migration but also you can have a chance to spot the Big 5 animals. Full board accommodation at Mara River Camp.
Day 4: Hot Air Balloon - Northern Serengeti National Park
Wake up early in the morning for the sunrise hot air balloon safari. Be endowed with a breath-taking view of the stunning landscape of the Serengeti where you fly above large herds of migration. After breakfast champagne, your guide will meet you and keep on game drive on your pace. Drive back to the camp for the hot lunch and spend the mid-day relaxing, followed by a sunset game drive. Day 5: Northern – Central Serengeti National Park
Have a leisurely breakfast at the camp before starting your long day journey to Central Serengeti National Park. Today you will be driving within the park from rolling hills of Northern towards the endless plains of Central Serengeti. You are likely to see lots of wildlife on this day on the way before getting to the camp. Full board accommodation at Sametu Camp.
Day 6: Central Serengeti National Park
Today you will have a morning game drive and evening game drive. Central Serengeti is an excellent year – round game viewing with large populations of herbivores and predators which remain after the annual great migration has gone. Seronera Valley holds many world-famous attractions including the Big 5. Full board accommodation at Sametu Camp.
Day 7: Seronera Airstrip – Arusha Airport
After breakfast, enjoy your last morning game drive with your private guide and vehicle in the central Serengeti with picnic lunch, continue with your game drive en route to Seronera Airstrip for you domestic flight to Arusha/Kilimanjaro for your international departure.
