Giving Back To The Community

At Tanzania Voyages Safari, we embark on a journey beyond safaris – a journey that involves giving back to the community and fostering empowerment. Our partnership with JIVITA, a dedicated NGO in Arusha, is at the heart of our commitment to address socio-economic challenges faced by young people in mainland Tanzania.

Since our inception, we have recognized the importance of sharing a portion of our profits with the communities we operate in. Our commitment to supporting local communities is a core value that we hold dear and we have sought to contribute in meaningful ways to enhance the lives of those around us.

JIVITA, established officially in 2011, has been a key partner in our mission to give back. Their focus on youth-led initiatives aligns seamlessly with our vision, and together, we have undertaken various projects throughout the remoted areas of Arusha region. These initiatives encompass life-skill building programs, entrepreneurship training, employment assistance, and awareness campaigns to address emerging socio-economic issues affecting the youth.

One notable project in collaboration with JIVITA is the Mwanao Project. This initiative specifically targets young girl students aged 12-20 years old, aiming to empower them to achieve their dreams through improved menstruation management practices. Menstruation is a natural aspect of a woman’s life, yet many young girls around Arusha region face challenges related to this biological process due to high level of poverty. The Mwanao Project seeks to address these challenges by providing essential support and education.

The primary beneficiaries of the Mwanao Project are girl students from government and primary schools in the remoted areas of Arusha region. We aspire to reach a total of 15,000 girls, positively impacting their lives and creating an environment where they can focus on their education and aspirations without the hindrance of menstruation-related challenges.

Our collaboration with JIVITA has been instrumental in building a strong foundation of support, involving not only our team at Tanzania Voyages Safari but also private sector partners and other development organizations. Through collective efforts, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of the youth in Tanzania, fostering empowerment, education, and a brighter future.

In supporting initiatives like the Mwanao Project, we continue to fulfil our commitment to giving back to the community. Tanzania Voyages Safari remains dedicated to making a positive impact, one safari at a time, as we strive to create a more inclusive and prosperous society for all.

In our journey at Tanzania Voyages Safari, the commitment to giving back is not just a philosophy; it’s a lived reality. The Mwanao Project and our collaborations with JIVITA exemplify our dedication to making a positive impact, creating a more inclusive and prosperous society for all. Join us in this transformative journey, one safari at a time.
