Packing checklist

The below packing list is supplied as a general guide on what to take on your African safari. A safari won`t be fun if you have packed all the wrong stuffs, so what to pack on safari is the key to having a great time. Remember to pack the following items;

Passports

valid for at least 6 months past your departure date.

Visa

Protect your skin from strong sun and mosquito bites.

Binoculars

Ideal for long drives and walking activities.

Universal adapter

Tanzania uses Type G (British style) and Type D (old British style).

Clothing

A handy tip to remember is that all lodges and camps provide a daily laundry service

Layers

Early morning game drives are freezing (often 50°F/10°C) while mid-afternoons are hot (85°F / 30°C).

The equatorial sun is harsh. High SPF, sunglasses, and a wide – brimmed hat are mandatory,

Weather

Generally dry and hot with cool nights/mornings from June to October, short rains from November to December, long rains from March to May but the seasons may vary. The coastal strip is hot and humid all year round. Temperatures on Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru may drop to below freezing.
