Embark on an unforgettable Kilimanjaro day hike tour, a unique adventure that immerses you in the majesty of Africa‘s highest peak. Ease your muscles after the Kili day climb by engaging in a cultural excursion at Materuni Village for a coffee plantations tour and a walk to the Waterfalls. The tour will then take you to the Maasai community village at Original Maasai lodge near Mount Meru, which offers the tradition and culture of the Maasai and relaxation with views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru. You will visit Lake Natron – known for its red coloration, water (deadly alkaline),) and the flamingos’ breeding site in East Africa. Your safari experience will continue towards Serengeti National Park – best known for its rich wildlife diversity, including the wildebeest migration. Enjoy driving in the 8th natural wonder of the world – Ngorongoro Crater and its stunning
landscapes with abundant wildlife, including the Big Five. Pay a short visit to Olduvai Gorge before descending the crater. Go through off-the-beaten-path cultural excursions at Lake Eyasi with the world‘s last remaining ethnic group – the Hadzabe/bushmen and Datoga tribes. Complete your 10-day safari by experiencing a half-day game drive at Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and giant ancient Baobab trees.

Day 1

Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport

You’ll meet your tour representative upon touching down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and will be taken to your hotel in Arusha. You can take the rest of the day to enjoy the serene gardens of your lodge, recuperate from your flights, and prepare for your impending adventure.

Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park:

Pack your things, as after breakfast, the tour moves to Tarangire National Park. During the Green Season, the park turns from a dry landscape to and vegetated paradise, complimented by the arrival of migratory birds. Tarangire is notable for its huge herds of elephants and large Baobab trees. You will spend the day on a game drive, as there is a good chance of spotting predators like lions and leopards, as well as their prey, antelopes, from the car.

Day 3

Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

Now, we transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the most picturesque parks built on the foot of the Great Rift Valley. Famous for the tree climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and the soda lake that has thousands of pink flamingos (depending on the season). The groundwater forest is a beautiful sight as it looks like a jungle, perfect for photography.

Day 4

Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater

Today is the day we ascend to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters to the bottom of the crater floor for a game drive in one of the natural wonders of the world. The crater is a home to the Big 5 (black rhino inclusive) and has the most number of predators in all of Africa. Picnic lunch on the hippo pool and then head to your lodge on the crater rim for sunset.

Where you will stay: Either the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge or the Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge.

Food: Start the Day with Breakfast, and have Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5

You will be visiting Ndutu, the southern Serengeti

You’ll begin your day’s activities with breakfast, after which you’ll be heading to Ndutu Area, situated between Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Southern Serengeti. This area is the center of The Calving Season. During this time, more than 2 million wildebeest and zebras converge to give birth. The numerous unprotected calves draw the attention of large predators like, cheetahs, lions, and hyenas which provide, exciting dramatic encounters of predator and prey interactions. Where you will stay: Either the Lake Masek Tented Lodge or the Ndutu Safari Lodge. Food: Start the Day with Breakfast, and have Lunch and Dinner.

Day 6

Involves a full day in the southern Serengeti.

You will devote this complete day to the exploration of the southern Serengeti in the public safari vehicle. You will have the opportunity to view the large herds that go on for miles and miles that fill the scrambling southern Serengeti. This area is the main location of the Green Season migration. It is a unique opportunity for you to observe the numerous baby wildebeest that will be taking their first steps and for you to view the endless herds that stretch to the horizon. Your safari guide will definitely provide an experienced tracking of the big cats that accompany the herds, which will ensure a day filled with action and awesome photography.

Day 7

Departing, Drive to Arusha \ Fly Out

Have your last breakfast in the African bush with the company of wildlife and natural sounds of the surroundings. Depending on your travel itinerary, you can drive to Arusha with last souvenir and gift shopping at artisan markets or book a scenic flight from Seronera \/ Ndutu Airstrip to Arusha or Zanzibar.
